    GUYTON - Cary Winston Grovenstein, 56, of Guyton, died Monday, Feb 20, 2012 at his residence.

    He was born in Savannah, Ga., and was a graduate of Effingham County High School, Class of 1973.

    Cary grew up in Savannah, and was a former member of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church, and was currently attending the First Baptist Church of Springfield, Ga.

    He had worked for Savannah Air Service, National Linen Company, and Candler Hospital. He has been employed by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, as a Mechanic, for the past 17 years.

    He was a member of the Mopar Car Club in Effingham County and loved to work on cars - his Mopar Passion.

    He is survived by his wife, Angela Robinson Grovenstein, of Guyton, GA; 2 sons, James Aaron Grovenstein of Pt. Wentworth, GA, and Preston Ellis Grovenstein of Guyton, GA; a daughter, Sarah Lorraine Williams (David) of Springfield, GA; his parents, Carl and Maureen Grovenstein of Pooler, GA; 3 brothers, James Randall Grovenstein (Marsha) of Pooler, GA; Stephen Glenn Grovenstein of Smyrna, GA; and Michael Lenn Grovenstein (Cynthia) of Clyo, GA; a sister, Sharon Maureen Warren (Jeff) of Irving, Texas; 2 grandchildren, David Williams, Jr., Gabriel Williams of Springfield, GA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

    Funeral Services: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Tom Tippett, and Rev. Jeff Rollins, officiating.

    Interment: Bonaventure Cemetery.

    Robert Lee Robinson, Jr., 76, of Savannah, died Wednesday, June 12 at St. Josephs Hospital.

    He was born in Savannah and was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Navy. He attended Armstrong Atlantic State University, was a member of the Lapidary Club and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Union. He was retired from CSX Railroad, having served as an Engineer for over 40 years. He was a member of the White Bluff Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Lorraine Reiser and grandson, John Robert Reiser.

    Survivors: wife of 55 years, Mary Shearouse Robinson of Savannah; son, Robert Lee Robinson, III of Savannah; daughters and son-in-law, Angela R. and Cary Grovenstein of Guyton and Phebe Lynne Reiser of Savannah; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Carl Hagins of Savannah; nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

    Visitation; 6:00-8:00 p. m. Friday, June 14 at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

    Graveside Service: 3:00 p. m. Saturday, June 15 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Rev. Preston Shealy and Rev. Robert M. Brearley officiating.
