  Reuben Parker Thomas Mr. Reuben Parker Thomas, 83 a life-long resident of Lake City died Wednesday afternoon, July 4, 2007. He was the son of the late Styles and Carrie Raulerson Thomas. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Deep Creek Advent Christian Church. Mr. Thomas is survived by his son, Steve Thomas (Tracy), Lake City; eight daughters, Carrie Carver, Marilyn Banks (Alan), Connie Shumpert, Barbara Layton (Steve), Margie Lane (Allen), Mary Thomas, Brenda Treglor and Eloise Reynolds, all of Lake City; three sisters, Dell North, Eunice Davenport and Ermon Spradley, all of Lake City; twenty-four grandchildren and forty-four great grand-children also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be conducted on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at Deep Creek Advent Christian Church with Reverend Howard Thomas officiating, assisted by Elder Sean Christie. Interment will follow at Scott’s Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
