- Albert Sidney Hancock, Sr., age 73 of Lilburn, GA., passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Patricia Daniels Hancock. He is survived by his children, Albert Sidney Hancock, Jr, John David Hancock and wife Kelli, Catherine Wright Mayo, Patrick Cooper Hancock, Jack Daniel Hancock, and Alicia Belle Hancock; 2 brothers, Danny and Roy Hancock; 22 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hancock attended the Olympia H.S. in Columbia, SC. He was a Chief Petty Officer 1st class with 21 years of service with the U.S. Navy before retiring. He worked with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints welfare services in both Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA, for 23 years. He also served as a Bishop with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, FL, for three years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
The viewing service for Albert Sidney Hancock, Sr, will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.
