Dicks of Bell died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a brief illness. He was 79. Mr. Dicks was a construction worker and later owned and operated the Raymond Dicks Foodstore in Lake City. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A lifelong resident of Columbia County, he moved to Bell seven years ago. Mr. Dicks enjoyed working on his pecan grove in Bell. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mae "Trudy" Dicks of Bell; a son, Donald R. Dicks of Lake City; a daughter, JoAnne Dicks Kotait of Gainesville; a sister, Archie L.
