  	JACK WILKES Jack Wilkes Rev. Jack Wilkes, 86, of New Brockton, AL passed away peacefully Saturday morning in his sleep. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Enterprise with Rev. Robert Creel, Rev. Alan Burnett, Rev. Mike Medley and Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in the McGhee Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Rev. Wilkes was born June 21, 1924 to the late Jesse and Rossie Wilson Wilkes. He graduated from New Brockton High School in 1942. He served for a brief time in the U S Army until he was discharged and called back to run the family farm. Rev. Wilkes graduated from the South Eastern Bible College in 1956. He pastored several churches and served with his wife, Madeline in Senegal West Africa for several years with the Assemblies of God. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Madeline Wilkes, New Brockton, AL; 2 sons, Craig Jackson Wil-kes, Atlanta, GA, Cary Alpha Wilkes, New Brockton, AL; granddaughter, Leah Michelle Wilkes, Fairhope, AL; sister, Martha Wilkes, New Brockton, AL; also surviving a number of nieces and nephews.
