- Mr. William H. "Bill" Milton, Jr., age 64, of Macclenny, FL died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Milton had resided in Macclenny all of his life and was the son of the late W. Harold Milton, Sr. He was an educator and taught social studies at Raines High School in Jacksonville, Fla. for thirty years until his retirement in 1998. He was a former principal of the Taylor School for the Baker County School System and was the current president of the Baker County Retired Teacher's Association. He was a former teacher of the year for Raines High School, a graduate of the University of Florida in 1961 with a degree in Education, a member of the cast of the Nutcracker Ballet of Jacksonville, FL and was a member of the Macclenny Church of Christ where he taught Bible study on Wednesday nights for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Faye Milton of Macclenny, FL; two sisters, Alice Faye (Richard) Sinclair and Flo Ann (Rex) Holloway, both of Macclenny, FL.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in the Macclenny Church of Christ with Rev. Sam F. Kitching, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Fla.
Visitation was from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2000, at Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, FL.
