  	GARDEN CITY - Jeannie Marie Dowling Droste, 56, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in Garden City and graduated from Tompkins High School. She worked as an import-export broker. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and was an avid reader. She is preceded in death by her husband, Barry Droste. Survivors include her mother and father, Walter and Jackie Dowling; sons, Nick Smith, and Chad Droste (Lori); sisters, Tammy Coleman (Randy), and Lisa Roberts (Stuart); grandson, Clay and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
