Boatright Jr. BLACKSHEAR- Robert Fulton Boatright Jr., 75, of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 29, 2012) at his residence. Born in Blackshear Nov. 21, 1936, he lived in Pierce County most of his life and worked as a self-employed painter before working as a car salesman with C& C Automotive. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a son of the late Robert Fulton Sr. and Alma Lorene Sims Boatright. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Mable Fish Boatright, a sister, Janice Boatright, and a brother, Hollis Boatright. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheri and Dennis Strickland, of Buford, Lori Ann Boatright, of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Misty and Chris Carter, of Blackshear; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Ricky and Jeanette Boatright, Gene and Kelly Boatright, Tommy and Jody Boatright, Robert and Peggy Boatright and Stacy Boatright, all of Blackshear; six sisters, Mary (Johnny) Floyd, Eula (Joe) Murray, Dale Boatright, Barbara (Jerry) Gillard and Pat (Rick) Phillip, all of Blackshear, and Shirley (Mikey) Walker, of Jamestown; five brothers, Purdom (Sybil) Boatright, Earl (Pearl) Boatright, Rabb (Ann) Boatright and Daniel Boatright, all of Blackshear, and Paul (Barbara) Boatright, ofWaycross; a sister-in-law, Laquita Boatright, of Patterson; 16 grandchildren, Brandy Huntley, Lizzie Newel, DeeDee Taylor, Josh Daniels, Casey Carter, Corey Carter, Nikki Crews, Michelle Abernathy, Thomas Boatright, Eddie Boatright, Robert Nunn, Richard Nunn, Jason Nunn, Candy Boatright, Sandy Boatright and Robbie Boatright; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Pearson- Dial Chapel. Interment will be in the Waters Cemetery.
