  	Mrs. Edna Hodges Cason retired Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home Mrs. Edna Hodges Cason, age 89, died Monday, July 31st, 2006 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County retired from Riggs Pharmacy after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Cason was an avid cook and will be remembered for her cookbook, "Eatin With Edna." Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ellis Cartee of Statesboro; a grandson, Edward, and his wife, Cindy Cartee, of Statesboro; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Carl and Collin Cartee, all of Statesboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Max Bowers of Fairburn; locally by two nieces, a nephew and their spouses, Ann and Gordon Franklin, Sue and Perry Smith and Bobby Joe and Jane Cason, all of Statesboro and her caregivers, Linda Green and Ina Ruth Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Brannen Purser officiating, assisted by Elder Randy Waters. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family requests that memorial contributions be made the Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459 , or the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, 4 South Zetterower Ave. Statesboro, Ga. 30459 or the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 210 Jonathan Road, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
