    Talmadge O. Bullard
    (September 5, 1919 - February 7, 2011)

    Mr. Talmadge O. Bullard, 91, a lifelong resident of Columbia County, died late Monday evening, February 7, 2011 in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley. Mr. Bullard was the son of the late Vade and Lizzie Waldron Bullard. Mr. Bullard worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for several construction companies and the Columbia County Road Department until retiring. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bullard was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bullard and by a daughter, Florine Richardson.

    Mr. Bullard is survived by three sons, Albert Bullard (Terri), Gene Bullard (Beth) and Ronnie Bullard (Margaret); his daughters, Louise Lewis, Lillian Davis, Patricia Lord (Danny) and Susan Bullard all of Lake City. Sixteen grandchildren, Timmy Richardson, Rick Lewis, Stephanie Hall, Lance Lewis, Donald Davis, Eric Davis, Brooke Thomas, Jamie Tannachion, Dewayne Lord, Scott Lord, Chad Lord, Della Jones, Brad Bullard, Jennifer Hampton, Alex Bullard, and Andrew Bullard. Twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services for Mr. Bullard will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery (located on 441 North of Lake City). The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She had resided in Lake City, Fla. all of her life . She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. She attending the Lantern Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Nevada Bullard and Mary Elizabeth Waldron Bullard, her husband Howard Laverne Christie, Sr. and her son, Howard Laverne "Buddy" Christie, Jr. She is survived by her three daughters, Gail (Randy) Dyal of Ocklawaha, Fla., Audrey (Mark) Giebeig of Lake City, Fla. and Ethel (Ken) Brookins of Wellborn, Fla.: Two sons, Bobby (Martha) Christie and Heyward (Deborah) Christie both of Lake City, Fla.: One brother, Talmage (Gladys) Bullard of Lake City, Fla.: Sister-in-law, Alva Prichard of Jacksonville, Fla.: Ten Grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 22, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral
    Home with Rev. John Harrison officiating and assisted by Rev. Lester Curry. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Fla. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, May 21, a GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd. Lake City, Fla.

    Mrs. June Elizabeth Law, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.

    She was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Rethea Bullard Milton.

    She is preceded in death by her late husband Larry Law and two brothers Quincey Milton and Edger Spradley.

    She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, she owned and operated Miltons Country Store for many years. Her and her late husband owned and operated Laws Seafood Market for over forty years. She was a lifelong resident of Columbia County and a pillar of the community of Deep Creek Florida where she lived.

    She is survived by her two daughters Wendy Bannister (Derrick) Lake City, FL, Tracy Law, Deep Creek FL; two sons Coby Law (Julia) Deep Creek, FL; Max Law (Carmen) Branford, FL; one son in law Nathan Markham, Lake City, FL; three sisters, Maryann Raulerson, Lake City, FL; and Geraldine Feagle, Lake City, FL; and Linda Gail Williams, grandchildren Avery and Cidney Bannister, Alanis Koberline, Ryder Law, Chris and Whitney Law, Davin, Dylan, Joshua, Miranda and Logan Markham and six great grandchildren also survive.

    Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in Scotts Cemetery with Reverend Howard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow the service at Scotts Cemetery.

    Linda Gail Milton Williams, 77 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. She was born the 5th of 6 children to the late Wilmer Quincy Milton, Sr. and Retha Mary Bullard Milton. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Lake City and a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church. She took pride in all she did including keeping her home as a homemaker for her family and always loved the Blue Crabs and Shrimp that her husband prepared for her. She was one of the best Yodeler's and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, reading comic books and the National Enquirer.

    Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Edgar Spradley, Quincy Milton, Jr. and June Law.

    Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James Clarence Williams, Sr., Lake City; six children, Debra Rodriguez (Jose), Pasadena, TX, Robert Edward Thomas, Lake City, Cathy Ann Thomas (Sherman), Humble, TX, James Clarence Williams, Jr. (Debra), Wellborn, Patricia Lynn Williams, Lake City and Karen Babcock (Stephen), Live Oak; two sisters, Maryann Raulerson (J.O.) and Geraldine Feagle both of Lake City; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

    Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.

    Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

    Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025.

    Mr. Edgar Ray ""E.R."" Spradley, 79, a lifelong resident of Columbia County , died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Pete Spradley and Retha Mae Bullard Milton. Mr. Spradley retired in March of 1991 from the Florida Department of Transportation after thirty-six years of service in the maintenance division. Mr. Spradley was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and watching sports. He was a member of the North Lake City Church of God. Mr. Spradley was preceded in death by a grandson, Doyle Spradley, Jr..

    Mr. Spradley is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Katherine Bryan Spradley; his five sons; Sephus Spradley (Sheryl); Doyle Spradley Sr.; Delano Spradley (Teresa); Larry ""Tony"" Spradley (Tarren) and Edgar ""Darrell"" Spradley (Patty) all of Lake City; six brothers, Quincy Milton, Shep Spradley, Shelton Spradley, Joe Spradley, Ralph Spradley and Sheffield Spradley all of Lake City; and six sisters, June Law, Gerline Feagle, Mary Ann Raulerson, Debbie Hughes, Shirley Riley all of Lake City and Linda Gail Williams of Live Oak, Florida. Nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services for Mr. Spradley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 in the North Lake City Church of God with Rev. Barney Hurst officiating.     Carl William Bullard, Sr, of Olustee and Lake City, passed away peacefully, at home on February 23, 2024, at age 79. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife and family who will miss his steady guidance and love in their lives.

    Carl came from humble beginnings but went on to build Lake City Glass over 50 years ago. He proved to be an astute businessman throughout the rest of his life. He leaves a legacy of the lessons he learned from hard work and determination.

    He enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing. He spent many hours, engaged in his passion, offshore fishing on the Gulf at Suwannee, and travelling to several countries. He spent his final years doing what he loved, camping, boating and cooking. He enjoyed being on the water and spending time with family and friends. He lived a good life.

    Born May 13, 1944, he is preceded in death by his parents, Cozzie and Mildred Milton Bullard, a brother, Richard Bullard, one son, Dwayne “Worm” Bullard and one stepdaughter, Sara Prevatt.

    Carl is survived by his wife, Amy Bullard; one son , Carl William Jr (Jolene); one sister, Barbara(Henry) Roberson; his grandchildren, Anelise Bullard, Dylan (Meghan) Bullard), Hunter (Deana) Bullard and Michael Boyle (Lauren) and family; and his great-grandchildren, Rusty, Myles and Berkleigh Bullard.

    A graveside memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Olustee Cemetery with Pastor Gary Crummey and Honorable Joey Dobson, officiating.

    Heyward Preston Christie, age 69, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 after an extended illness. Mr. Christie was born in Lake City, Florida on February 22, 1954 to the late Pauline (Bullard) and Howard Laverne Christie.

    Heyward was a lifelong resident of Columbia County, Florida. He was an aircraft mechanic at Aero Corporation for several years prior to taking a job with the City of Lake City in 1986 and retiring in 2019 after 33 years of service. During his time with the city, Heyward was involved in many activities and programs including youth sports. He volunteered his time coaching football for many years with Columbia Youth Football. Heyward was a sports official for much of his adult life. He officiated several sports including football, baseball, softball, and basketball. During his officiating experience, Heyward officiated several state championship games in baseball, softball, and football. Heyward was a devout Christian that spent the last 20 years of his life serving his church, First Full Gospel, in several different capacities including being a deacon. In his free time, Heyward was an avid grill master that could cook, barbecue, and bake just about any dish. In retirement, Heyward enjoyed spending time with his family, precious puppy Baileywick, and watching his two granddaughter's games, performances, and award ceremonies.

    Heyward is survived by his wife of 48 years Deborah (Burnette) Christie; son Dr. Michael Preston Christie of Lake City; granddaughters Ava and Gracyn Christie; sisters Gail Dyal of Ocala, Audrey Giebieg (Mark) of Lake City, and Ethel Brookins (Ken) of Wellborn; as well several nieces and nephews.

    Heyward is also preceded in death by two brothers.

    A funeral service for Mr. Christie will be conducted on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Stan Ellis officiating, assisted by Rev. Isadore Williams.

    Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

    Ms. Salena Roberson Wallace, 43, of Lake City, died Friday, May 30, 3008 at her residence. She was the daughter of Henry & Barbara "Bobbie" Bullard Roberson and was born on January 18, 1965 in Lake City. Ms. Wallace grew up in Live Oak and moved back to Lake City in 1983. She was a homemaker and a nurse's aide. She enjoyed horseback riding, swimming and she loved to spend time at the beach. Ms. Wallace was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Wallace was preceded in death by her grandparents, Laure Bee & Odell Roberson and Cozzie & Mildred Milton Bullard; and an uncle, Richard Bullard.

    Ms. Wallace is survived by her sons, Bradley Wallace (Cindy) of Gainesville, Florida; Levi Wallace of Lake City, Florida; her parents, Henry & Barbara "Bobbie" Bullard Roberson of Live Oak, Florida; a brother, Shack Roberson (Teresa); two sisters, Tammy Warner (Michael) and Kelli Hall all of Live Oak, Florida; her life partner, Amy Bryan of Lake City, Florida; and an uncle, Carl Bullard Sr., of Lake City, Florida. A grand-daughter, Brooklynn Wallace of Gainesville, Florida also survives.

    Funeral services for Ms. Wallace will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in the chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Woodard officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 Tuesday evening in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley, 6037 U.S. Highway 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
