Graveside services for Houston Warren Hodges (92) of St. George, Georgia will be held 12 pm, Saturday November 29, 2014 in Emmaus Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Houston was born on December 8, 1921 in St. George, Georgia, son of the late Grover Cleveland Hodges and the former Victoria Crawford. He passed away on November 23, 2014 in Lake City, Florida. Mr. Hodges served in the U.S. ARMY during WWII. He enjoyed traveling the U.S., square dancing, golf and working in his garden. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. In addition to his wife of 9 years, Linnie Juanita Spurgeon, survivors include: daughter, Claudette Ketcham; eight grandchildren, Steve (Angela), Tracy, Michael, Amy (Matt), Austin (Michael), Corey, Anna (Kyle) and Adam (Jordann); twelve great grandchildren, Savannah, Lily Anne, Amelia, Liam, Aiden, Kieran, Finn, Axel, Dew, Abby, Tom and Jack; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by: wife, Katherine O’Toole Hodges; two daughters, Loretta Renshaw and Sandra Beaver. Those honored as pallbearers include: Steve Beaver, Michael Beaver, Austin Ketcham, Corey Matthews, Adam Ketcham, James Taylor, Matt Petrousky and Kyle Anderson.
