TURLINGTON SALEMBURG -- Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Francis William Turlington, 84, of 106 W. Royal St. died Wednesday in Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pinecrest Cemetery in Warsaw by the Rev. Rob Jones. Mr. Turlington is survived by his wife, Gladys S. Turlington of the home; a daughter, Rebecca T. Milburn of Apollo Beach, Fla.; a sister, Lillian McIntosh of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and four brothers, Edwin B. Turlington and James R. Turlington, both of Gainesville, Fla., Dr. Henry E. Turlington of Chapel Hill, and Dr. Ralph D. Turlington of Tallahassee, Fla. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Roseboro Rescue Squad or to a favorite charity.
