- Mr. Charles Wesley Chism, 75, of Park Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Georgia War Veterans Home, Augusta.
Burial will be in Burke Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chism, a native of Charlton County, had retired as a soil conservation technician from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service after 40 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
He was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, where he was secretary of Sunday Youth Department.
The family said, ''He was a loving husband and family man and loyal and faithful to his profession.''
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Chism; three sons, John H. Chism, Seattle, Frank W. Chism, Sanderson, Fla., and Patrick Craig Foster, Hephzibah; two sisters, Juanita C. Raulerson, Macclenny, Fla., and Shirley C. Burnsed, Glen Saint Mary, Fla.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
