Death	Arlen Cason, 77, of Patmos, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Blakely. Graveside funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at Patmos Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Alligood will officiate. Born May 5, 1938 in Pierce County, Mr. Cason was the son of Simon Shadrick Cason and Vergie Elizabeth Boyette Cason and was married to the late Victoria Lee Fish Cason. He was a member of Patmos Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Cason was a retired well driller. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Denison and a brother, Lavon Cason. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa McDaniel (Mark) of Patmos; two sons, James Alan Cason (Della) of Georgetown and Joseph Arlen Cason (Amy Kaye) of Arlington; twelve siblings, Lavinia Thornton of Screven, Wylene Woodcock (James) of Patterson, Clara Lathem (Wilkes) of Thallmon, Audrey Rodgers of Jesup, Wendell Cason of Patterson, Kenneth Cason (Velma) of Patterson, Truman Cason (Gail) of Patterson, Sue Ann Denison of Patterson, Donald Cason (Virginia) of Patterson, Gail Cason of Jesup, Deryl Cason of Blackshear, and Delane Murphy (Cleve) of Bristol; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 - 3 p.m., before services on Sunday, at Patmos Freewill Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Patmos Freewill Baptist Church.
