- PATTERSON -- Everett Lawton Cason, 67, died Jan. 11 at Satilla Regional Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Pierce County and was a carpenter with the Barnard Co. for several years. He was a deacon and member of the Adult Sunday School Class of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Lilyphine Boyett Cason of Patterson; a son, Jerry L. Cason of Offerman; two daughters, Donna M. Sweat and Melisa A. Williamson, both of Patterson; four sisters, Sarah B. Neilson and Maggie Johnson, both of Patterson, Mary Miller and Bertie M. Miller, both of Melrose, Fla.; four brothers, Randall, Lewis and Reppard Cason, all of Patterson, and the Rev. Frank Cason of Jesup; nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild and other relatives.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, burial in Mill Creek Cemetery.
